For all of you in the U.S. What brand of insurance do you carry for your bike? I appreciate the help and love directed towards a newbie.
I carry liability only through progressive. Costs me 93 bucks a year after the msf. Oh yeah and I"m 32.

None... florida doesn't require it if you are over 21 and own your bike... (for riding without a helmet you need 10k medical coverage, but that can be a health plan)
progressive, WI. 21/S/M $307/year
300k umbrella liability/uninsured/underinsured, comprehensive ($500 deductable)
And no comments about my coverage. I know its more than I need. I have my reasons for doing it my way and you have your reasons for doing it your way.
Progressive, OR, married/F. Full coverage, $183/yr. Well, actually, nine months; I've got a winter layoff for everything except comp.
We get discounts for being homeowners and having more than one bike on the policy.
Progressive, liability only (min. in GA) cost about $100 per year w/ msf class. I'm 23, and may be getting some kind of student discount as well ($20 tops).
man, when i tried progressive, they tried to butt rape me with no lube =(
progressive 187 per year 20 year old male :)
State Farm, 33, $400 per year full coverage.
Progressive, minimum liability and theft/loss only. Haven't taken MSF yet and I'm 27. $153/yr
Progressive doesn't operate in Massachussetts
I have Liberty Mutual. At a step 9 ("safest" driver rating) and minimal coverage, I think I pay about $120. "Minimal" is the coverage required by law, plus one additional coverage which gives me liability out of state. Without that optional coverage, I am naked outside of MA if I cause an accident. Not good.
When I first went in, they quoted me $500! That included medical payment coverage, comprehensive, extra liability, passenger, etc etc. Dropped all of it. I break, I fix it. It gets stolen, I buy a rat bike and start over
Foremost - 1200/yr Comp 300/100/100. 24. 1 accident on my record (from when i was a cager) Washington DC
Dairyland, WV, age 58, $83. includes injury liability, property damage, uninsured motorist, and a small medical expense. No collision or theft.
I've had this policy for over 20 years, previously with a GS400. The heaquarters is in Wisconsin. Never had a claim (knock knock).
Progressive, $75/yr, liability only, 36.
Dairyland sounds interesting...hmm...
state farm - 242$ a year - 19$ a year
collision/comprehensive and liability
27yrs old
Last year when I had my 2001 model, I was paying $220 per year for full coverage through Progressive. 32 years old, one ticket on my record.

Pretty much the same here. Progressive/$120 for 2 26-year olds with liability only. The rate actually dropped when my friend added me to his insurance.
age 66
Ohio, USA
State Farm Ins.
liability: 100/300/100
uninsured: 100/300/7.5
total annual cost: $114.49
Progressive NC 50/100K - un/under-insured - comprehensive $250 deductable - $180/year. I'm 45
foremost- liability only on a 92' $175/year in kansas, medical coverage on work health plan. they base it on the purchase price of the bike, not the value. i don't know why or how.
3 speeding tickets in and a minor accident in 02' (not a good year). progressive wanted around $1100 for liabiltiy and foremost was $175. tough decision
Progressive, Lia/comp, married, a week from being 30 :guns: , paying $161 per year. Thats seems on par with the rest of you folks.
Well... I'm glad somebody brought this up... I manage 16 P&C insurance agents for a living (and I'm one myself)... I'm 30 single and progressive was cheaper for my motorcycle was too steep for my Toyota Tacoma...
I've got the '04 gs500f with State Farm... 100/300/100 liab. $100 comp, $100 collision, 100/300 uninsured motorist bodily injury, $60 towing (don't need to be in an accident), and yes.... rental coverage...
It costs me about 500 a year but having the truck and the bike with state farm is cheaper than having them both with progressive... State farm writes the vehicles on seperate policies... I figure I'll raise my comprehensive deductible, and take off the collision, uninsured motorist coverage, and the extras when I put it away for winter...
By the way... I checked the price for liability only.... 100/300/100 was $48 a year!
I'm at $176 for liability only on my 2001 TLR. She's at $130 on her '94 GS. Both have Progressive, both have a couple of tickets and accidents, both 26.
NOVA on the GS, liability only, $52/yr.
Admiral Indemnity on my DRZ, full coverage, $180/yr.

We get straight-piped up here. I'm paying $983.00 a year - it's a public insurance system run by the government and we can only ride for five months out of the year. :x I have five merits on my license so it brings down the amount I pay otherwise it would be over $1200.00 :o
OOPS! - I didn't read the "those in the U.S." part
:o O-MI-GOD, CANADA. Tsk, Americans won't know what they've got until it's gone.
Progressive--liability--75.00.
