Well I just went down on the bike as I was coming home from riding. Newbie mistake, I had slowed down to about 5mph as I was waiting for a car to past so I could pull into my driveway, as the car drove past I was a little further ahead then I wanted to be and turned way too sharp for how slow I was going. Needless to say the bike went down as did I. As the title implies, when I pulled the bike back up there was a small puddle of gas on the street. The bike was only on its side for maybe 2 mins tops, my brother was right inside and helped me quickly get it back up on its wheels. Is it normal for some fuel to run off while the bike is layed over or is it likely I severly damaged something? Too dark outside to see how severe any damage on the bike is, I went outside with a flashlight and all I found was a scrape on the muffler but only tomr. when the sun comes out will I know for sure. For now I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yeah, pretty normal. Fuel probably "overflowed" into the airbox and drained out from there.
Also, there is a hose attached to the upper T-connector between the carbs. The other end of that hose is open to the air, so fuel could have drained straight from there as well.
When you try to start the bike again, be patient. It will likely be flooded, so it could take a couple minutes to get it to fire up. But you should be fine.
Been there done that, I've dropped my bike a few times (can't believe I'm admitting to that) and crashed once - so don't feel bad! It's normal for it to leak a bit of gas, you only have to worry if you come out tomorrow morning and it's still leaking. But from the sounds of your fall, you couldn't really have done much damage. :thumb:
