Title: carb
Post by: caddmonkey1 on July 26, 2004, 09:47:39 AM
I have a stock exhaust.

DJ said to put in the 118 mains  and put the e-clip on the second from the top position.

Ok as you know I got the bike firing on both cylinders.  Sounded real good so I went for a ride.  Everything was good til it good and warmed up then it hesitated on take off and when cruising about 4000-4500 it started surging.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I already tried going up to 122 mains and raised the clip on the needle.   :dunno:

by surging do you mean the engine seemed to cut off, then back on, then off again?

that's definatly a lean problem. do your idle revs climb as the bike warms up too?

Hey better send me stock needles and some $$$ as well, not much, about $7-8 for the 125 mains I am going to have to get... Cos guess what... those jet kits are more trouble than help. I cant test it either cos my bike is DOA...
Cool.
