I'm just wondering what is necessary to impress chicks.  Do they like it when you pop wheelies?  Do they get really hot when you drive by at 150 mph?  What about burning out?  I'm really curious whether these things actually work to get girls.  Pretty much all the women I know say "what a jack ass," but are they harboring inner lust?

Owning the bike and driving it competently is all that a guy needs for the bonus motorcycle points.  Beyond that, sorry, you can't bypass the normal criteria: good sense of humor, intelligent, presentable-looking, gainfully employed, decent hygiene, good in the sack...

Girls are impressed if you have a personality, can hold a converation, and have decent personal hygine in addition to riding a bike.

Most don't care/ can't tell the difference between a GS or a GSXR. They will be happy (thrilled) to ride on the back of either.  About the only distinction I've seen them make is that some prefer cruisers (HD) because they are slower and more comfortable for the passenger.

Hmm. I prefer sport bikes because they are, well, more fun (and yes, I can tell differences between bike models!), and find H-Ds ridiculous in appearance.  Talking to my female friends - that seems to be a common sentiment.

If you're into bikes, you'd want a partner who shares that interest, I'd think!

okay, I think that is a good point about some having prefeerences for cruisers and others for sports bikes.  I always feel like the unfaired GS doesn't impress either camp, but does get general motorcycle points.  Is it just about looking cool then?  Does anybody have any "motorcycle ho" experiences with the GS?  Don't get grossly specific, but I'm seriously wondering whether the GS can be a chick magnet.

they maybe impresed by your GS if it's the only bike there but if you're like me, riding with gsxr600, 750 1000 and hayabusa's then you can do crazy wheelies, burnouts and other stunts and the girls want even look at you because the other (faired) bikes are nicer

Size doesn't matter when you are picking up... becuase you can't just whip it out in public- you have to get the opportunity to whip it out and that is where the motorcycle comes in.

They can't tell what you look like inside a helmet, and you can't talk anyways, so that's a lost cause.  Riding without a helmet helps only until you dump and get nice big scars.  As far as I can tell, bikes only spark interest by others if you act like a poser: park the bike, but make it clear that, "yeah, it's yours".  And posing is no fun. With actual motorcycle _riding_, on the other hand, you won't meet many women at all, because you're, um, well, moving all the time.

If you want to meet women witout posing, try an activity that is more social (like, you can stop and chat easier) and involves lots of women.  Dancing is pretty good for this (join a Latin dance club).

That may be true.  I think that having a bike much bigger than the GS may send the wrong message to smart girls.  See for example the size issue replies above.

No, the GS is not a "chick magnet" (except maybe to the chicks who want to ride themselves). it doesn't have yards of shiney plastic or chrome. Isn't super huge and loud. Doesn't look like it fell out of a sci-fi movie.  So if that was what you were looking for.... sorry.

Ah!  I have got a lot more attention when I am wearing the motorcycle jacket.  I've actually told people to buy the jacket and forego the bike becuase they look so good.

I need to make it clear that this is a RHETORICAL question.  I have a girlfriend and she could care less.  I am just wondering about the idea.  I love my GS.

I guess the real question is, what type's of 'chics' are you trying to find? If your looking to attract a girl that only judges you by your "bling" why not just strap a gold brick around you neck, that might drop some panties..
If you looking for girls that judge by 'risk taking' jump in front of a few trains, ride a bull, do some cliff diving... who knows? maybe some chick will dig it...
If your looking for a girlfriend that like to ride motorcycles,
step 1... get a girlfriend
step 2... take her for a ride on what ever motorcycle you happen to have
then see how she likes it

what is this "girls" you talk of? are they edible?

ok, i'll try to be helpful....

things that do NOT impress chicks:
- riding in shorts (leather looks cooler)
- riding w/ a skullcap helmet (HD moo)
- hitting ANYTHING
- walking your bike =(
- dropping the bike
(though crashing may actually look kinda cool and get you sympathy)
- definitely not laying down the bike once you got said chick on the back

I just went to a sportsbike message board and it seems like women are constantly pulling them over and ... after they pop a wheelie.  One woman even complained about women flirting with her from their car (I guess she couldn't tell through through the helmet).  So I guess it does happen... but you wouldn't know it from this thread.  I really appreciate how the GSers seem to think a woman should like them for their personality and aren't interested in the dumb slutty girls.  Very cool.

ya, like it or not, even my super sweet, looking for a nice guy girlfriends get wet over crazy ass biker guys. i sent one girl a pic of my bike and she goes "oh, that's cute. something to learn on till you move up to a better bike?"

hehe. i think i'm movin up to a duc next for this very reason. hot bike with a hot name.

Well, Mr. BBY had an '89 GS500, and I found him to be extremely attractive on it...

Then again, we were already married when he bought it, so maybe that's no help.

Not attractive:  Riding without a shirt, or in flip-flops, or in shorts, or without a helmet.  Rat bikes.  Burnouts and wheelies in town.  Foot dragging away from a light.  Stickers that say things like "No Fat Chicks," "Mustache Rides," or "Gas, Grass or Ass, Nobody Rides for Free."  Riders overheard at dining establishments bragging about doing a hundred on the freeway.  

Attractive:  Proper riding gear, with a little racing flavor:  nifty leathers (at least a leather jacket), not too new, proper boots, a slick helmet (it's like the veil on a belly dancer--the eyes speak volumes!).  Customization of the bike is well-executed (e.g., professional paint, not Wacky Pack stickers).  Competent, assured handling of the bike at all times.  A little self-effacing bench racing is OK:  "Well, sure, the guy was on a GSX-R 1000 Mladin replica; he'd have smoked me if we were on a straightaway, but...you know...the twisties..."

Girls are nice, and so are bikes, but for pretty different reasons.  I really don't think that the one should be used as 'bait' in order to attract the other.  Put simply, if getting girls is a major factor in why you ride a motorcycle, then you shouldn't be riding.  You're missing out on the whole point.

Bringing the front up constantly, riding like a jackass, etc. may succeed with some women, but it's ultimately time wasted, because you're using the bike to try and get girls, instead of what it's meant to do.  You don't whore out your girlfriend so you can get a better financing rate on that new 600RR, so why should you whore out your bike to get some chicks?

Ride the bike to have fun.  That being said, who gives a sh*t if it gets chicks or not?

 I have found that there are two kinds of girls that are impressed by bikes; 1 the dumb ones. these are good for a quickie every now and then.  2 the smart cool ones that are really impressed by out of state plates and a dirty bike, ( the farther away you are from your home state the better it works.) these ladies normally are riding themselves or have boyfriends that are riders.

I almose forgot, as some of you with the size issues, the only thing you have to worry about is your GVWR.  :mrgreen:

girls are interesed in fast, good looking, shiny, chromed bikes......not many girls are into how you corner your bike....so if you want to get the girls get a nice "bling bling" gixxer

I must say I've never gotten as many waves from random girls in my Stealth. I wasn't doing anything dumb either...so I guess its just the two wheel thing.

Also, wearing leather is a great way to get girls. Tight leather jackets seem to just do something for the opposite sex.

Ok so after seeing all of this, i have a couple things to say.

1. Girls, the normal ones, not just dumb ones (you know, the ones that just think it's sick that you have a bike cause they can't ride one themselves) don't care if you have the GS or if you have a cbr600. I mean, in their world (and admit yours too before you knew anything about motorcycles) EVERY bike is ridiculously dangerous (the real factor in getting laid and looking cool) and crazy fast. I have girls at my work who are begging me to take them for a ride on my bike just because they've never done it before and think my bike is as badass as the next.

2. A loud, crazy looking sport bike will roll chicks, period. But like everyone else said, "who really wants those chicks?" I guess like any other ego-driven male, I DO! My experience with the limited time i had my cbr600 with a nice and loud can??? I had girls yelling at me when i rolled through my college campus... chicks starring at me everywhere i went. constantly getting the "wow, that's a NICE bike." However, in the real world (outside of college) i don't know how many girls really give a sh**.

In that case, just go out riding... cause the only points you'll score with chicks just simply because you ride a bike is when you say it to them in a bar.

Oh wait, i forgot

3. Crashing a motorcycle is single-handedily the best way to get laid. They'll think you were being crazy fast and stupid and they feel bad for you. Then they'll want to take care of you... etc etc... .i'm sure you get it. Worked for ME :D

I guess in the end, i'll take my GS cause I THINK its sick and i'm going to make it look like a cafe racer... and i really like that... it's classy and that's the kind of chicks i want.

When I see a guy on a liter bike with no gear, doing wheelies or speeding, my first thought is NOT "hey, there's a sexy stud".  More like "where is Darwin when you need him?? What a dumbass to think he's impressing me."  I actually had a guy following me while I was in my Jeep.  Every stoplight, he'd pull a stoppie and glance over to see if I was watching.   Then a wheelie (admittedly he got good distance) once the light changed.  Wait for me to catch up, then repeat...

Guess it depends on the type of "chic" you're trying to attract.   :dunno:   Instant gratification?  Yeah, I guess a flashy bike might get you a bimbo.  Just don't be surprised if she acts just as shallow once the helmet is off.   :P  (j/k)

ok, truth is, yes you get a lot more attention from the girls on a big bike. (i have had both a hayabusa and and a gs500).

BUT

WHO THE FUC. CARES IT"S NOT ABOUT GIRLS IT'S ABOUT BIKES MAN!

If not then get yourself a "hot" car and you can get the same shallow women without endangering yourself for a darwin award.........  :cheers:

How to impress women?  I'll give you two avenues of advice.  You can pick which one you like.  Neither involve motorcycles, because, well, contrary to what hollywood portrays, I just don't think most women really get all hot and bothered watching you do wheelies on a Gixxer.

The cynical answer.
1. Go to college
2. Get a good job
3. Make lots of money
4. Buy expensive house, preferably with a swimming pool
5. Buy expensive car, preferably German or Italian

The "sweet" answer.
1. Learn how to cook - well.
2. Learn to like her parents.
3. Learn how to give a good massage.
4. Respect her, always.
5. Flowers for no reason at all.

My take is that no matter what kind of bike you have chics will look, no matter what your doing I dont think it matters just based on what Ive seen just cruisin around town.  I think its just the fact that you have a bike and its something different, there are far less bikes on the road then there are cars.

Just ride one. I have a faired GS and I've met lots of girls that want to/have ridden it... and stuff.

Once I was at a stoplight and a girl pulled up next to me and asked for a ride. Then we pulled into the parking lot, she gave her friend her car, and I took her home... to her house. And then she told me she had a bf. And that he was home. And then I left.

I agree- most girls just like bikes in general and they don't seem to care what it is you're on. Especially if they know you, you can easily get one to go for a ride with you, I've noticed. It isn't a cure all by any means, but it is a good conversation starter, and sometimes that's all you need :)

I didn't buy any of my bikes to impress chicks, I impress chicks...er, woo them. Although, I do know that women like big, black bikes, but that's just the bike, not me. And I married one that let's me have a bike.
