Title: GS500F Laminar Lip Photos
Post by: Caravan on July 27, 2004, 06:53:12 AM
..okay, for the "F" owners, try this link:

My apologies for the poor quality.  I used a low resolution to keep them small thinking that I might post them directly.  Questions?  Please post or email.

davipu,

Try Laminar's web site:   http://www.laminarlip.com

(...and, no, it didn't detach at an indicated 95 mph   )

Caravan:

Could you please tell us if it works well, noticed any improvement in airflow, less noise/buffeting, etc. Also, does it wiggle/want to fly off when riding and at what speed does it do so?

Thanks!

vegas,

Laminar maintains that the "lip" is safe at "normal" highway speeds...whatever that means.  They suggest in their literature that if you are planning to ride at very high speeds that they will supply plastic fasteners that can be used to "bolt" the lip to the windscreen.  See their site for their opinions!

Mine doesn't move at normal highway speeds and didn't move during a"high" speed (for me!) run to test it.   ;) It does work as advertised as far as I can tell.  For my earlier comments, see:

As usual, YMMV!  If you try one and it blows off at your "usual" highway speeds, sue them, NOT me.
