Post by: Meighan on July 28, 2004, 04:23:05 PM
So I finally got around to updating my bike web page. I've added a bunch of pictures of what it looks like now, and a list of all the things I replaced.

Check it out!

My pleasure to help.  :)         ............just don't crash again!

I never noticed that the logo was already missing from the left case cover. No problem. That will be fixed when you get the cover I put in the mail today.  :thumb:

Changed the pics?? I didn't change the pics....

The mirrors I had before I crashed were just the stock ones, the new ones are these Bikemaster Supersport Mirrors from Chaparral Racing. They are okay.. I like the stock ones better because they are chrome and I think they look better, these new ones are black plastic and they just don't look as nice to my eyes. They were $10, I guess I got what I paid for!

That's funny, i have the exact same mirrors (they were on the bike when purchased) and the receipt for them which the owner had said Emgo  :dunno:
Sorry Scoob (shaggy voice)

They're as big as car mirrors and provide a good view of behind you. I like them alot.  I never have to turn my head.
This is not a jack.
Meighan i for got to add that you got it back together pretty damn quick too!

Well they might just be similar, or sold under a different name. But yeah, they are huge and provide a sweeping view of the road behind you. I still shoulder check, but I don't feel the need to quite as much. I still don't like them as much as stock though, but that's just out of aesthetic reasons.

I recall when you first made this post adn I opened your link there was a pic of your completed bike with black mirriors and now they are gone

thats what I am looking for, mirriors that stretch out so I can actually see behind me. When I look in my mirrors now all I can see is the pads in my jacket and you know how those cages can sneek up behind you.

Anyone know what size the stock mirrors are?

I can measure when I get home if you'd like, I still have one of my old stock ones from the crash... all scraped up ;)

So is that you in your avatar? If so can we see a better pic. HAHA, Well I have 01 gs500 in awesome condition if you just want to buy a new one. Or maybe you know someone looking for one. But at any rate, I just needed an excuse to ask to see your pic; it looks nice from here.

Haha he's usually a real sweetie, he just acts fierce sometimes.

He likes to play, but when he's all tired out he'll sleep in my lap on his back and purr like there's no tomorrow.

.... and he's not gray, he's "Metallic Sonic Silver" ;)
