Title: CA GS 500 in RI??? (Ignition Rotor Question)
Post by: Joe M on July 28, 2004, 05:08:39 PM
I am in the process of doing the DIY ignition advance & when I pulled off rotor I see it is stamped with 5-35.  Is this the CA rotor?  What is best (easiest)way to determine if this is a CA bike?  Also, do I have to advance 12 degrees as well?

Thanks

Joe :dunno:

Yup 5-35 = CA, 12-28 is 49 state... Send it to Bob broussard and some money and he might help you out... DIY timing plate trick wont work with the CA rotor...

bob charges return shipping only. he's been very generous with his time in doing these. Catch is you have to send him one first.
