Title: damn damn damn damn damn damn (screwed bolt)
Post by: Zarathustra on July 29, 2004, 02:21:03 PM
i just finished giving my bike its oil change, and upon re-tightening the filter screws (which i know you shouldn't do too tightly), i over tightened one of them and broke part of the bolt off inside the nut (the top right one).  it's leaking oil as the engine runs, so it's pretty obvious i need to fix it.  what's the solution?  i can't jb weld it, as it wil mess with the threads.  ideas?  the quicker the better, as it's my only transport.  damn i'm stupid.

i'm also dumb enough to post in frustration first, and search second.  just found a thread started by rizp and answered by kerry.  so um, no need to answer me.  i just wanted to make sure you all knew what a fool i am i guess...
