Post by: BustemUpBob on August 03, 2004, 02:44:07 PM
Hello,
I need to get new levers for my bike. I wanted to get a pair that were on E-Bay. But they have a dial on them, The Guy says they will fit an 89. Just thought i would ask one of you guys/gals.

Does the ebay listing include a brand and part number?

For one possible source go to the Lever Search Page (http://www.flandersco.com/SSearch.html) on the Flanders web site (http://www.flandersco.com/).

Hey Kerry-

Kinda stupid question, but how can I order from that site? Their interface doesn't look like anything I'm familiar.

And which brake lever have you ordered for your '99 (same as mine). They list several at the end of search, but I can't find most of them in their price list.

I'll have to get back with you tonight.  I bought an ebay-reject combo brake&clutch Flanders set from another board member.  With some research I found that the clutch lever which was advertised to fit ... didn't.  It wasn't even close to being the right size/shape.

So I emailed photos of the incorrectly packaged set to the folks at Flanders, along with a photo of the single clutch lever package I had bought from them (which DOES fit) and they sent me the clutch lever that should have been included.

Oh, I just found the pictures I took.  The Flanders combo set is 426-31102.  The individual clutch lever that fits is 402-31109.

CAVEAT:  The brake lever LOOKS right, but I have not tried to mount it yet.
