I sold the GS tonight :( . I must admit th at it was a little difficult driving away... Just wanted to throw out a quick thanks and goodbye to all. This forum is awesome!!
My wife has had some unexpected doctor visits... I wanted to make sure that we have all the money to cover any expenses that might be thrown our way... Hopefully, in a couple weeks I'll be back in the saddle.
Ride safe and thanks again for all the help.
Dathan
I know it was tough to sell your bike. But your wife's health comes first. There will always be more bikes.
I agree. Take care of the things that matter most and hobbies like riding will fall into their place. I'd do anything for my girlfriend, even give up some of my things that matter a lot ie: golf, lifting, and riding. To make her happy I'll gladly make sacrifices.

That's right. There will always be more bikes, but only one wife (I hope).
Via con Dios mi amigo.
We never did get together for a ride. :x (My fault.)
Hopefully we can still do that this Summer/Fall. I won't mind if you leave me in the dust on your next killer bike (which you probably would have done on your GS anyway)!
Best of everything to you and your wife.
PS - Did I ever thank you sufficiently for the free rear tire? I just rode to Moab and back on it last Sunday. It's working out great - I really appreciate it! :thumb:
i know what you're goin thru. i sold my '97 to help with some of my mothers bills. i miss that ride, but there will be others. but hey, stick around
We actually just got back from a Doctor visit. The wife has one more MRI to go through but it looks like all should be taken care of by taking a single pill... we had a couple choices for meds- one had side effects of better sleep and weight loss- the other included weight gain and facial hair. Here's to the first option  .
I love my wife.
Kerry- I actually sold the GS to a friend of Richards (Jarom). Dropped it off last night in Orem. And with everything looking good for the Misses, I've got my eye on a 2003 sv650s (ah yes, the blessings of sacrafice)... and next week it may have a new owner... but don't worry, I'll wait up.
Again- you guys (and gals) rock.
Here's to the first option indeed.
Great to hear that your wife will be in good shape, and sleeping better! I'll echo everyone else's comments here: bikes come and go...wives a little less frequently. You've made the right decision. Hope to have you back someday!
Glad to hear that your wife is doing better and along with the possibility of another bike :thumb: Yeah, option #1 is best....
hmmm....I got rid of my wife and kept the bike. Maybe I did something backwards. Naw, I like my toys too much. They don't give me crap.

Hi-T (retired) and
mosesyang in Salt Lake City (40+ miles north) ...
Is there another "sleeper" that I haven't met?
OK OK 5. 40 miles = in Orem...
Cool.
Srinath.
I suspect we'll hear from Jarom around here eventually... right now he's waiting for the title so that he can register it. I'm sure that (time permitting) he'd be thrilled to join us for a ride. =]
Sorry to see you give up the ol' GS, but I'm glad it went to a good home, and don't worry, I'll make him take care of it.
Hope your wife feels better soon. don't be a stranger! (at least, no stranger than normal)
