Title: Those kookie Nigerians!
Post by: JamesG on August 04, 2004, 07:33:42 AM
Hehe,

I just had my first "Nigerian scam" email about my YZF! It was a textbook "My buyer wrote a check for _X_ amount for another bike, but it sold now wants to buy your bike. You just need to send a big check to ME to cover the difference, blah blah blah...."

I wonder if anyone actually falls for those scams?  :dunno:

I think quite a few people have fallen for the "I am the son of a tribal chief and we need to get a great deal of money out of Nigeria, all we need is someone in Europe/US with a bank account that we can transfer a million or so into.......you can't loose etc,."

I say again, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Man, I was totally glued to the whole thread (4 pages... to be continued). Man, it really shows how desparate, greedy, and stupid these people are. Definitely a good read. Justice prevails :nana:
