Title: Possibly OT: Help a GS Member Save their house.
Post by: spdracer75 on August 06, 2004, 02:02:41 PM
Hey guys,

After getting a set of keys made of my GS, I've realized I have no choice to part with it, or risk losing my home, and having to send our two wonderful dogs to a shelter.

I'll spare all the details about that, however if you know anyone in or around the midwest looking for a very low milage GS that runs very well, but needs a little bit of love, please direct them to this post in the for sale forum:

Thank you all,   you've been wonderful in helping me deal with the routine stuff that creeps up with a GS, and I hate to get rid of my GS, but I can't sleep on it! :-)

Bike is up on fleabay.

I hate to sell her now that she's running fine, but the bike has got to go.

Needs a little love, and someone who will ride her a lot.

I think a lot of people are Scoob.

And they say the economy is recovering.  Oh.... that's right... Haliburton stock is up, must mean things are going good.   :x

Always do vote. Sadly enough last time around I vote for what I thought was the lesser of two evils.

WOW.... what a f-in mistake.  Although the economy was in trouble before GWB got in office.

I need to find the Illuminati and kick their asses.

I wish I could spare the money right now. Your bike looks great. It's a great red, and I like the frame color.

pulled the GS off fleabay with 30 hours remaining on a 7 day auction.

My starting bid was $1,000.00 and there were *NO* bids, and 40 people watching the item.

I was not about to let someone wait until the last 5 minues and snag it for a grand.  I might need money,  but hell, I can put in for OT at work and make a grand extra in a month's time.

is $2,000 too much to ask for a 1996 GS with 2,500 miles, a rejet, K&N and VH exhaust?  I mean hell, the blue book is $1950 with average mileage.

My thoughts were the mods balance out the fact that the bike needs about $150 worth of beauty work, but runs and rides perfectly fine.

Dude, with 40 ppl watching you probably would have gotten a flurry of bids and had a bunch of sniper programs fighting it out.  I've had auctions where it coasted along at $.99 for a week and then shot up to over $100 in the LAST MINUTE! Its just the nature of Ebay.

If you need to get a specific price set a reserve. Then you can decide if you want to take it.

Sorry but "performance mods" usually add $0 to a resale value. Donno why, but...

Politics- Do you guys really think the guy sitting in the White House can snap his fingers and make everything better?

The re-listed auction has about 40 hours left.

Starting bid was $1,500 and it's up to $1,600 now.

We'll see how it goes.  Hoping to not get bent without lube on this sale.
