When I drove the cage down to PA, I didn't know it was the local "bike night" where I am visiting. I thought it was going to be pretty cool once I DID find out because I had seen so many different bikes - I have never seen so many dual sports in one non-dirt place at the same time!! Didn't notice ANY GSs though! :(
Unfortunately my stomach started to churn because I realized how MANY of the Pennsylvania bikers don't wear helmets. It had been raining lightly off and on so I was happy there were a lot of bikes out, but I guess I was naive to think the added element of danger would make them want to wear SOME form of helmet. :(
I find it hard to enjoy nice bikes when the pilot doesn't have any gear on, but I especially find it hard to notice the bike when I can see the pilot's unprotected scalp!
Also, I could have lived without the experience of seeing rows of bikes parked in front of the local bars. Somehow I doubt all of those riders were sipping soda all night. :?
Bikes = cool
Bike Night = sickening
Yep. At the local meet here everyone gets drunk and rides home.
