I noticed a missing bolt on the bike the other day. It's one of the 4 hex head bolts (round heads, hex fitting) that attach the metal brace thing to the front forks. To this brace thing the front fender is attached.
Bike seems to ride fine. I'm heading to the hardware store tonight to see about finding a replacement. If they don't have a match, where would you suggest I look?

Look in Home Depot they have metric screws and bolts
I got a missing screw for my DL650 from an old bicycle
All the bicycles are metric
At least one of those was missing when I bought my (used) bike. I got the replacement(s) through my dealer. They had to be ordered (of course :x ) but I wasn't in any hurry.
They were only a dollar or so each, and since they're out in front and visible, I don't mind 'em matching....
when you get them....loctite.....
Since I've just replaced those by stainless steel:
M6 x 16mm is the size
And I'd recommend to replace all four of them with Allen or standard hex bolts.
That way you can be pretty sure that you can wrench them loose when you have to. If you use the round cap ones you can be pretty sure that you can't.
My local small hardware store (with a knowledgeable (!) staff) was closed last night so I found myself at Home Depot, pouring through their bins of bolts.
I found stainless 6 x 12 I think it was bolt. The diameter and threads matched, though it appeared to be a short. A little pack of 3 was )$.30. Got it on and tightened up and everything looks fine. Also noticed while I was doing it that one of the other bolts was really loose.
