Hi!
My bike has developed some oil leaks.
This is the worst one:

Then there are some 'standard' leaks on the valve covers:

Since I never took the left engine cover off before - is there oil right under this cover?
What gaskets do I need to get rid of all those leaks? While I'm at it - anything else worth replacing?
Thanks, D.

Yes.

Two gaskets that I know of. I'll use links to the Ron Ayers site because they list the Suzuki manufacturer part numbers (unlike BikeBandit). Since you're in Slovenia I figured the Suzuki part numbers would be the more useful ones to know.

When you're getting ready to remove the left side cover, do a search on GStwin for "gasket remover" (select
Search for all terms) and read all of the threads that come up -- excluding
this one that you're now reading. The thread titled
help with leftside crankcase cover gasket will probably help the most.
That particular thread doesn't talk about leaning the bike to the right rather than draining the oil. But from what I have read in the past, that IS one of your options.

What kind of air filter are you using? If it's still the original paper filter you might consider putting in a reusable filter while you have the bike torn apart. (K&N in-airbox type or UNI foam filter)
One last thing -- there seems to be a bit of gasket sealant oozing out from under the "cylinder head cover gasket" in your pictures. I have used sealant between the gasket and the COVER, but not between the gasket and the engine. I wonder if the "extra" sealant is somehow causing the leaks by hardening before it can create a good seal, and leaving gaps behind? :dunno:

Mine is leaking horibly now. I have the gasket I'm just too lazy to do it :p
Leave the valve cover gasket, it does not look that bad.
Just keep an eye on it.

Hmmm. The oil spread pattern in the photos doesn't SEEM to match a leak from gasket #5, but I guess it's possible.
D? You'll have to get down on your hands and knees and take a closer look.

Its possible that I am wrong as my leak is much worse. Mine is pooling in the flat spot behind the exhaust.
looks pretty leaky. I had the same trouble with mine recently. Rather than take random stabs at the problem, I just re-gasketed the entire top end. If you are going to do any of it, just do the whole thing.

In which case you might consider getting a complete gasket set all at once:
