Title: Someone smashed my spark plugs
Post by: Biking on August 22, 2004, 01:22:20 PM
I park my bike on the street, and some genius smashed and broke off my spark plugs.  I have replaced them, yet now I cannot get the bike to start.  I've tried push starting, but to no luck.  Any suggestions?

Start with the simple things first.  Kill Switch, clutch switch, side stand switch.  Pull a plug and see it it's wet to make sure you are getting fule.  Make sure you have gas.   Pull a plug and lay it on the side of the cylinder head and crank see if you have a spark.

check to make sure you're getting spark.  it's possible that when the plug was smashed, the spark plug cable was damaged as well.

cheers,

check other things because the guy who broke your plugs might have damaged something else too

I read somewhere, can't remember where, that sometimes crackheads will break off the plugs to use the porcelain stem as a crackpipe :?. Not that this helps you in anyway......
