Title: Fuel petcock ... no reserve?

the fuel petcock of my '92 seems to offer "on" only ... no reserve. is this a common problem? is there a fix?

It's very possible that the previous owner got rid of the stock petcock.  But it's also possible that you will want to keep whatever arrangement you now have.  The stock setup is one of the "weak spots" on this bike.  On the other hand, the stock setup does give you a REServe setting....  :dunno:

To get a feel for the issues, use the Search link above to do a search for "fuel starvation".  (Make sure you check the "Search for all terms" option.)

The in tank filter also gives you a reserve setting. So don't remove it and install an inline filter and run out of gas 30 miles from home. :oops:
