Hi,
I'm going on a business trip to San Diego in the first week of October, but I will have a couple off days of that week and was thinking of maybe renting a bike and doing some driving around southern Californa. Is anyone here from the San Diego area who knows if/where you cen rent a bike (and gear cause I'd rather not bring all the stuff with me)? Doesn't really matter what kind of bike as long as it's not a custom ;)
kind regards
Dion
I think you can rent buells/HDs almost anywhere. Might want to check that out... welcome to beautiful SD! I love it here....
jon
anyone have a DMV booklet with them? on the back there's a company that rent bikes
There is a place in orange county, north of san diego, that rents out street bikes. It is the only place I know of. Every other place just rents harleys
Thanks for the tips guys!! I look forward to coming to San Diego, I hear it's a beautiful city! This will be my first time in the US so I'm hoping to see as much as possible during that week.
best regards
Dion

San Diego is my facvourite city. If i could live anywhere, that's where it'd be. I've visited twice. I used to live in toronto, now i live in Victoria BC on the island. Next.....San Diego...making my way slowly there !
EagleRider motorcycle rental can rent u a bike in SD. (800) 706-3330 Their rates is said to be from 50 to $135 a day. welcome to san diego. You've come in the perfect time. Bring sunscreen  :P
You can have good riding down Mission bay drive, and HWY 1. these are all beachside, and gorgeous (go during the weekends and you'll have tasties all over.) If you want a nice winding countryside road, you can take Highlands in Escondido. Julian is always nice, right now it's pretty warm up there. Great Apple pie. And gaslamp downtown would get you looks from the pretty girls at night=). San Diego would be a great ride, hope you have fun=)
Dorian, you won't regret your move down here, if you don't mind the prices. I've been to a lot of other places, from Seattle, up to canada, arizona, nevada, minnesota, maryland, etc.. and within 3 days, I always wish I'm back home, where the weather is warm, the sky is blue (usually), and you don't have to drive 30 miles just to get to a grocery store=).
