ok, glad you wernt overly damaged, but really, the headlight as versitile as it is, does not double as a Ground Tiller, last i checked, you werent into planting corn. if i could find the katana 600 front end im looking for, i have an extra GS front end just needs seals, i was saving it for the 2nd GS i build (when ever i can afford getting frame and carbs) but i want dual disc on my current GS the 2nd one i build will be stock everything saving exhaust and jetting.

you might want to have your bike checked on the computrack to make sure the frame isn't totally tweaked

glad you aren't seriously hurt :thumb:

so do you wanna sell the stock forks? the headlight and other things will be replaced but i'm kind of low on cash and still need to pay for college books so i'm doing this cheap....i have some headlights from a gixxer and i can make the fork brace....everything else will be looked at i just need forks to start rebuilding my bike

ok, since noone has anyparts for sale that i need, can someone tell me if i can use front parts from another bike.....will some other 37mm forks fit, is there a front wheel that i can use from another bike......a front brake caliper?
Title: F2...
Post by: The Buddha on September 03, 2004, 10:55:38 AM
F2 front end... almost direct bolt in... yoy need to grind off the stem from the lower triple, and shorten ~7-8 mm then F2 bearing outer races go in the GS's frame (same OD as the GS, they are ball instead of the GS's needle) and use F2 forks, wheel clip on's etc etc etc. straight fit... easier than GSXR even If you ask me.
Cool.
Srinath.

from the look of the pictures, if your careful you can save your headlight and just gently message the bent parts around it back into shape.  i dont mind selling the front forks with tripples, not sure what price to put on them. it would be just the forks and triples + shipping

yep the headlight can be fixed i just don't want to worry about it now.....i need to get the bike on the road without spending too much money on it....so i need forks for sure, can you sell the fork tubes alone or you wann get rid of the tripple tree too? what about the front wheel and caliper?

it would be the whole unit. i have extral lower leg tubes already.  once i find my dual disk front end for the bike i ride now, the one that comes off already has progressive springs and gold cartrige emulators in it to go onto the GS i build.
