Title: Well $ wise the SV650 is looking like a go...
Post by: triehl27 on September 08, 2004, 12:49:00 PM
The dealer is offering $2000 in trade on my gs500!!!  Granted it's in Mint condition.  $4500 OTD on the SV650S.   In surance is gonna run 415 a year and the SV650S.  Man I'm conflicted.  Basically that's a 2001 SV650S for $2500, showroom cond, 1100 mi on it.  Fully serviced.

God that's sounding good, now just one more private hurtle to overcome.

What year is your GS... you might get 2K or more for a mint GS in a simple ad in the local rag type sale. And SV's are abundant (atleast 2 in my local rag) for 3K or less... so its a simple 1500 loss... with the dealer.
Cool.
Srinath.

Quote from: triehl27Basically that's a 2001 SV650S for $2500.

Why, did you get your GS for free? factor in what you paid for the GS too. Are you getting more for it from the dealer than you paid for the GS?

Yea if I decide to upgrade I have no choice other then an SV, I was looking at getting an older CBR F2 or F3 and the insurance people sayed they didnt think so.  Eff them, oh well even if I stay with my GS Ill still be able to mop the twisties with everyone elses bikes.
