Title: need help from someone in G.B. or europe....need a part...
Post by: werase643 on September 09, 2004, 09:05:38 PM
I picked up a 1982 kawasaki AR80....first one i have ever seen
complete bike...dirty...tank rusty....
got everything clean and checked out...no spark...
pulled left cover... the MAGNETO is missing....the nut is there, but the magneto is gone
I want SPARK
i need a used magneto from a kawasaki AR50 or AR80
flywheel looking thing with magnets in it
Kaw part # 21007-1054
it is not worth buying a new part....more than the bike cost

can anybody look locally and see if they can get a cheap used one and ship it to me...PLEASE

i heard they were popular over there and many were abused!!!!
i heard they were REALLY popular in the phillipines...but i don't think any GS'ers are from there....
if you can find an aftermarket pipe/expansion chamber.... 8)

Back to the top.....THIS bike is imposible to find USED parts for in the US
well, I found a parts bike....$600...I DON"T THINK SO....the bike missing the MAG was only $200

please, someone call your local scrapper and see if they have a magneto for this bike.....cheaper = better...and i'll send a T-shirt as thanks...and pay for the part.
