Title: Can I run wider tires up front...
Post by: seamax on September 15, 2004, 07:22:15 AM
I'm in the process of installing a bandit 600 rear wheel with 160/60R17 tires and would like to know if I could run wider tires on the stock rim up front?

If so what is the largest size I could go and are their any benefits to running larger rubber up front?

You could run a 120, but there's not much of a benefit IMO.

it will slow the steering down a bit...make it feel like you are driving a tractor.
wider tire
more rubber
more heavy
more gyroscopic effect
baddo baddo

TAKE ANY ADDITIONAL WEIGHT THAT SPINS AND MULTIPLY BY 7 THATS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE. EXAMPLE: TIRES, RIMS ROTORS.
