Title: Some new pics of my gs500f
Post by: girlracer on September 18, 2004, 05:43:15 PM
I'm not sure if I've ever had posted pics other than my sig. I wanna mod a bit but I'm mainly working on my cavalier right now, so most of my money is gone. All I have done is cut the fender, blue and white neons, and i put some carbon fiber graphics on the bottom of the fairings.

Are those cefiro headlights? They look very similar.

But a modded cavalier  :dunno: , You must really love that car.

the headlights on the z are from a nissan silvia s13, I'm currently putting in nissan skyline r32 tails.

I'm building it cause I can, how many modded '89 z24 do you see.

I always thought it would be neat to put the 3.4 out of the Z-34 into a Cavalier. Shame about that motor...such a fine concept so egregiously consumated. Love GS500 bikes, this forum and the Bowtie.

why in hell do people put un-painted body kits on cars. i will never, ever, understand it. it's like buying a bike and not being able to afford gear. it looks so damn foolish. if you can't afford paint, then you can't afford a body kit.

definatly one of my pet peeves. it's so rediculous. i'm all riled up now.

First you put the body kit on, then you need to paint it. For some people the second process does not come immediately after the first. There are some recommendations to drive around with an unpainted bodykit for a while to check the fittment. If one of the lips or side skirt cracks from the body, it will be easier to repair it while it is still unpainted.

So, girlracer, what is faster in 0-60? Prelude, cavalier or Suzuki? :) I bet on Suzuki :) . However a quarter mile will be different (I think GS500 is around 14.4, which is not that great :( )

It has been done but it doesn't fit very well, the trend now is to drop 3400 sfi in them, a lot of people are doing it. as well as a few 3800 supercharged and 3.1L turbo out of a tgp which is rare.

well for me, i just got the rest of my kit not to long ago, this car is not a daily driver it is mainly in a garage, i've got so many other things to do. when i bought my only the front bumper i had the car painted and the guys that did it done a horrible job for $1500. Now the car is going to turn into a show car and will not be the same color, i fiqure i will spend over $5,000+ for the next paint job.

i still have to shave handles, do a skyline tail conversion, lambo doors, and i have considered to widebody the car. the only thing i do it back it out of the garage and take a few pics, then it goes back in.

just incase you can't tell, the hood is not black, it is carbon fiber.

QuoteSo, girlracer, what is faster in 0-60? Prelude, cavalier or Suzuki?

The cavy is not fast at all, which its not suppose to be, i may do an engine & tranny swap one day but it will just be for more points at shows. the prelude is a 5spd, it runs mid-low 15s, which is not bad for n/a engine, i just wanted a decent daily driver. I plan to supercharge it after its paid off. and well the suzuki is ok, i haven't taken it to the track yet like the cars.

After the cavy and suzuki are paid off, I plan to build a custom chopper, my dad is going to help me, I just like modding things.

If you're gonna do an engine swap, the 3800 Supercharged is the route to go.  I'm a bit partial though as I own 2 GTP's.   :thumb:

a little too much work for me, you have to get axle from a feiro and a lot of other stuff to complete it.
