i think he should have been arrested, he didn't even have a license, i know when i bought my gs the dealer was like you do have a license don't you and then they made me show it too them.

According to other reports, he was arrested. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/2/205_MPH_TICKET?SITE=VANOV&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

I couldn't tell you why they weren't BOTH arrested though.

2 out of the 3 versions of the article that i've read said he was arrested... considering that he was doing 140 over the speedlimit, i don't think the cops had much of a choice.

Somebody posted a thread on this yesterday, i think. Might want to look it up.

I wonder how many people ride bikes without a motorcycle license?

I know I did for almost a year.

I am skeptical an RC can even hit 200mph after reading this

Quote from: From the articleDuHamel's 190 horsepower 1000 Superbike only pulled 195 at the '04 Brainerd Superbike race

If he did hit that fast, it would take some SERIOUS mods to that RC

Do you know how much it costs to get an RC-51 to make 190 hp?  I know a guy who used to race an RC-51:  he paid $10K for the bike brand new, had invested another $10K, and was only about 160 hp.  He guessed that he could either hit 185 hp on the bike, or pay off his house.

Unless the bike is blown somehow.  If I were that kid's lawyer, I'd fight the 205 claim.  Get Miguel on the stand.

DuHamel:  I couldn't get a full factory supported Superbike past 195, and some 20 year old jackass on a mostly stock bike hit 205?  Not hardly.

What do you know?  GStwin isn't the only bike forum where "the right to bear arms" discussion goes on!

My friend has an RC51 2004 and I was riding Buddha Loves You on it and he cranked it up to 240Km/h we passed a cop but he didn't even bother to give chase as we were gone... I don't recommend running from the cops but when you're on a major highway with no traffic going 140 over the speed limit if you like driving without incredibly high insurance it's probably best to keep going.
