For all you Aussie readers out there grab a copy of two wheels mag, they have just reviewed the GS and, shock horror, they actually liked it! For everyone else, Ill try and scan in the review nad upload it but they were very complimentary about the bike and reviewed it as its meant to be used, an intro into riding and good cheap honest, reliable transportation. Not as some bike mags do as direct competition to the GSXR750!
Personally I got fed up with all the other bike mags calling my beloved bike a POS and never understanding how they were used.

The Baby G a POS?? BLASPHEMERS!! I love the little thing and this forum too.

I got it yesterday, too - nice article ! And when I saw the comparison chart, I couldn't believe how expensive an ER-5 is, as well as ugly :o
Go the GS :)
Yep good read like the picture of the bloke dragging his hand on the old model (I still remember that picture from 1990,I think it was).
And yes I wish more tests were that complimentary to the GS :thumb:
Cernunos Im sure your bike loves you too as do I.
Big manly type hug to you big fella!
Hey Muldoon...would you be able to scan a copy of that review and email it to me? :)
Yes, things are changing, UK "Rider" mag has just published it's annual survey completed by riders about their own bikes, traditionally the GS came last but this year we have been elevated to number 202 out of 213, not much but it's a start. I think the 2004 "F" is changing things as most of the mags are sportsbike orientated and everything else tends to be dissmissed, dare I say so but I go for "naked" but the "F" is putting the old warhorse back into view.
The GS actually manged five stars in one category, "Maintenance" ---change your plugs and then change the plugs on a Kawasaki ER5 and you will know why. Fireblade came out top but then it always does.
Jenerator, no worries, I have a cunning plan to scan it in and email to whoever wants it. WIll try and get it done sometime in the next few days.
Cal Price, good to see others taking more of an interest. I have seen at least 4 new F's in the last month so I guess the fairing is helping sales significantly. Re the ER5, I dont mind the look of the thing, but according to reports they arent as durable as the GS, also over here they cost over $1000 more! Outrageous!

It's just so funny to me how some people can review a scooter as neat as the Baby G and not give it a huge thumbs-up. But then I can honestly say I have never met a bike I didn't like...just some I would rather not ride.
I love my GS500, it is one neat little bike, just like this forum.
