Thanks for posting this - would you be able to scan the images in bigger? I'm going crosseyed.
too bad the u.s. market doesn't like naked bikes... wish we had that kind of option here.
CBF500...hellloooo what is this? (http://dperacing.com/temp/emoticons/drool.gif)
OK They say the 500F is 8 valve... ??? really... are they including the filler valves in the tires... and even so its only 6???
Cool.
Srinath.
They include the oil pressure relief valve and the fuel pet-chicken valve in the addition. And for what it's worth, that CB500 ain't got nothin' on the Baby GS...water-cooled indeed...like I need something else to worry about tearing up. Hail to the mighty (but meek) GS500 and the GStwin forum.
C.......
Also the honda is 350 more than the fairinged GS... what the bloody hell are the smoking... The naked GS is 600 or so under the honda... aka 15% cheaper, has better basics like true perimeter frame and that is all overlooked... Yea The GS is not as good as a GSXR 1000 ... because it is much slower...
Cool.
Srinath.
does anyone know if they're planning on selling the cbf500 in north america?

Don't hold your breath. Although, it would fill a niche Honda has otherwise ceded to the GS and Ninja 500's, so maybe. (The 599/Hornet was a flop here, eh? If you want that, maybe buy a proven, fancier-spec'ed Yamaha for the money.)
Back in my 250cc days--like a whole year ago--I sent a letter to American Honda asking that they bring the CBF250 here to the US, as a replacement for or complement to the CB250 NightHawk. Google that cute little thumper (CBF) if you're curious. I was told in their reply that my letter was being forwarded to the appropriate department, which they took to be CRUISERS. I guess that's a keyword they scanned when I wrote that not everyone over here wants to buy cruisers. Ah well. Meantime I soured on the CBF250 because I really, really like standard ergos better. If it were just a smaller 599, forget it now!
FWIW,
Mike D.
