Cool man great find :)
Dirt cheap too :o
You need those handles dont you... dont worry I got you covered... $10 buys you the pair... in 1/8th wall steel, they take press fit bar ends and are ready to bolt on.... BTW I probably have the material for 1 set, then I am gonna have to stop for a while, and they have close to $8 in material... essentially the drilling and slot grinding is $2... Damn that's cheap... maybe I should bump the $$ up to $15... but OK its from waste material... so its OK...
Cool.
Srinath.
nice job!
i looked for a set a while ago and the best i could do was $150, after lots of salvage emails. Looks like you can get quality tubes from our bgoober uber moderator too. Enjoy!
Yea I knew you made a set of them for another guy, I was hoping that you had enought left for another pair but I think Im going to try and straighten the ones that it comes with first, worth a shot anyhow, they dont look good though. If things dont go good then you'll be hearing from me for sure. Thanks.
I replaced my bars with carbon fiber bars from Lockhart Phillips.
I just used a round file to make a groove for the mounting bolt.
They have aluminum bar tubes anodized in different colors too.
so, how desired are these 89 clip ons?
I got the same type. In Europe all Gs's from '89 until 2001 have that type of clip-ons. So if other people are interested, it may be a good idea for them to look on European junkyards, etc.
