First off...thanks to everybody for the great information. Love the site.
Second...don't drink and drive unless you feel like scratching up your new GS500F.
Being the moron that I am I decided to do a little wet weather riding over the weekend since I lost electricity due to Hurricane Jeanne. Needless to say the only places open were the hardcore open all weekend bars so I figured why not cure my boredom with my good buddies Jack and Jim.
At any rate...after a couple of drinks the future ex-wife woke up and noticed I was gone so I had to go home and wouldn't you know it...pulling into the parking lot where I live the back tire skidded and I went down.
Luckilly my leg saved the fairing (minus a couple of little scratches) and the only signficant damage was to the left front turn signal (which I was going to replace anyway) but man was I pissed.
Anyway, I learned my lesson....next time just don't go home....I mean don't drink and drive in a hurricane!
Been in the same boat before too. Best just to find a pretty girl where your at and explain the situation I find they will take you home. With them. ;)
