Im gonna go get my measurements taken on friday after work for a jacket. Now i can get the exact fit, but this brings me to my question. After i get my size and everything, should i jump up one size bigger? Or do i want a snug fit? We are comming up on our winter here (in cali it doesnt get very cold at all, but the mornings there is frost and its chilly, same at night, which is also VERY bad for crops here but thats another story) so its gonna be a bit chilly. Any opinions on this? Ive ordered most of my gear already, chicane gloves, i have an HJC helm. I wanted to chicane boots too but they didnt have them in yellow or black so im gonna get another kind in black. And now im gonna get the Teknic lightning jacket but again im stuck on the fit. I want something thats gonna be comfortable but not hug me to death, so i dont know if an exact fit is what i want. Anyways, opinions please, im lost, lol.

Skip getting measured, and go to a store and try a bunch of stuff on.
Get a snug fit. Too baggy and it will bunch up all over the place. Just got my new chicane jacket and it doesn't even go down to my belt. My old one was too large and bunched in the front the whole time I was touching the grips. You can see the problem. It may be a good idea to try the jacket on and sit on a bike. What fits standing up may or may not fit in a riding position.
ok ill go try some on on friday then. Thanks!

I second the 'go try stuff on' idea. I ordered a Vanson jacket online, after measuring myself several times and went with the jacket 1" above my chest size. The jacket was too tight, even without a sweater -- I ended up sending the jacket back and going up a size.
