Title: Suzuki Perf oil SJ classification -good?
Post by: Dima26 on September 30, 2004, 12:24:34 PM
I have gone to a Suzuki dealer to buy a quart of oil. I told them that I want Suzuki Performance 4 10W40 engine oil with specification SF or SG (according to the manual). The bike has less than 500 miles on it so I want to follow the manual and after the break-in switch to synthetic. The guy at the dealership gave me Suzuki Performance 4 but SJ classification and said that I can use this one instead (the same thing, he said). I may sound overcautios, but can I use this oil? I just need to add a little to bring it to MAX level.

Thanks,

Dima.

SJ meets all previous requirements. It will work fine.
