Title: bent lower triple

can it be straightened using a torch...mine is a little bent and when i put in the forks the wheel is on an angle....should i try to straighten the lower triple or buy a used one?

I'm not sure if the triples are heat treated in some way but its probably easier to just find a used lower triple on ebay or in a salvage yard.

If its really minor, you may get away with bending it back.  I imagine there are some stress fractures in the steel after your crash or something that may have compromised the triple in some way.  Did your top triple get bent?  or did the the fork tube bend in a way that only bent the lower triple?

let a machine shot do it, they can make sure its squared with the forks.
