Title: Anybody have comments on AGV gloves?
Post by: vtlion on October 01, 2004, 05:06:10 AM
the GF is almost finished with the MSF course.  She has been using an old set of (very thin) tourmaster leather gloves that I had laying around.  This is fine for the 15mph class, but it won't cut it out on the road... so we're shopping for some good riding gloves.

So I made the usual rounds to newenough and ridegear and I came across these on Kneedraggers.com

looks like a good deal.  anybody have experience with AGV gear?

any other good deals on similar items?

i have those gloves.  haven't "crash" tested them yet.  the top of the hand is very well protected.  the palm area is kinda thin in my opinion.  maybe 1/8" of leather there.  over all good gloves for fall/winter riding.  during the summer, my hands get very sweaty inside.
Title: AGV sport...

I had those AGV sports... 5 years of near every day use and they blew a hole... OK not just 1 hole they blew a hole in 4-5 places all at nearly the same time... yea typical wear spots... throttle area in the palm, and brake finger and clutch finger and T/S thumb... Great, and worth the $59.99... on sale  :thumb: . They felt dry and good to wear even in summer mostly...
BTW The joke about wearing off the brake finger... yesterday I gave someone the finger and it actually was my finger...
Cool.

I have a pair of those, now relegated to my back-up pair but they are fine, used them a lot in rain.

The only issue I found that size-for-size they are tighter than other makes but perhaps I just had a one-off.

OK I got a pair of BalZout ones today... Love it... though the blue and black leaves it a bit darker than I was used to... looks like a great glove. BTW $40 was its MSRP,and has carbon knuckles, some carbon on the gauntlet some soft carbon on the backs of your hands and fingers have air vents... that will supposedly scooup up air as you sit on the bike... They are a nice fit as well...
Cool.
