Does anyone know if there is a differance in the 01-03 and 04-05 rear wheel?

with respect to a GS500.... they won't fit unless you are rich and have some serious machining performed....and then they are still too wide

I was trying to find out because my best friend droped his 04 and slid into a curb with the rear wheel and bent the lip. You can find 01-03 wheels on ebay for 100-150 bucks and if they are the same we can get him back on the road cheap. If anyone knows anyone that knows it would be a great help. And yes his back tire is twice as wide as my gs so you would have a hard time squeezing it in!
