Took the experienced rider MSF course on sunday and passed. Went today and got my endorsment on my license.
MSF course was pretty easy but a lot of fun. The whole class only took about 3 and a half hours to complete.
I can now legally be stupid and ride sans helmet at night with a passenger (not that I would ride with out a helmet).
I also got my fieldsheer gear in. Zero condition jacket and highland pant. Went for a short ride and it is pretty comfortable so far and nice and warm (got for the cold weather). Build quality also seems really good. Too bad it is supposed to rain all week.
Just thought I'd share my eventful couple of days.

Congrats..!!!
PS....always use a brain bucket.....i know that you know but reinforcement is not always a bad thing. :P
Hey there - congrats on passing!! :thumb: .
But I gotta ask: where did you do the MSF course - 3.5 hrs???
I did my course and it was 3 DAYS! Easily 20 hours - most of it on the bike and included the practical exam portion of getting my license.
Lots of information, maneuvering - great course. We actually had 5 people out of 25 not pass. 4 couldn't make it throught the figure eight (nerves) - the 5th crashed in the swerve-to-avoid. He hit the front brake and low sided - nuts. He had a lot of dirt bike experience but got over confident he said.
So, yeah , just wondering about that.
Ride safe - always watch for the other guy.

Seriously, where did you take it? I still have to take mine and I am not looking forward to spending a whole weekend on the course.
There are two MSF courses; Beginner and Experienced. The Beginner is 2-3 days, the Experienced is 1/2 day, I think.
Congrats, my MSF course was also 3 days long, but well worth it. We only had a handfull not pass, 1 couldnt control the clutch (friction zone) another laid a brand new class bike down in the slow S turn, and a couple didnt pass the riding exam. I went and got my license endorsed about a week ago, and im still waiting for DMV to send me my new license :(. In the meantime i got a fancy piece of paper and a hole in my old license lol. Congrats again, welcome to the world of legal riding.
I thought I woud be bored in the beginer class (3 days) so I took the experienced (supposed to be 4-4.5 hours long). All of us in the class were pretty confident on the bikes (our own bikes) so we went through everything really quick. I think we went over the same sort of things that the beginer class does, but there was little to no instruction prior. We just went out and did each exercise and they gave us pointers to improve. We all got through the exercises really quick and therefore we were out of there in 3.5-4 hours.
Good experience and the class was fun.
