Who wears race leather on the street and do you know of anyplace to get a decent price on a suit
Wear them 99.9% of the time. On the very rare ocassion I will just wear a jacket..
The best place for great prices and excellent customer service is www.NewEnough.com
I have bought about 4 suits from them.
I wear leather joe rocket jacket and a HJC helmet with jeans and tennis shoes. Untill i break the motor on and get on the highway im not buying pants or boots.
Won't leave home without them.
wish i could afford a suit.
I wear them always..... except on really hot days, then I wear JR Phoenix Jacket & Pants. This is a good time to check out the local dealers since its nearly the end of the season. Might not have a good selection but if you find something nice you don't have to worry about shipping it back if it doesn't fit.
so you have both a jacket pants and full suit man that would cost me more than my bike
Think of it this way...skin grafts cost 100 times more than a leather suit.
I would recommend a 2-piece suit since you can wear the jacket by its self. That is one of the reasons I keep my 2-piece suit.

How much is your skin worth?
If you don't end up using them in an accident, you can transfer them to your next bike.
I have leathers for all but the hottest days, and armored mesh for the steamers.
sounds like a peice is worth it though i like the idea of a one peice
i hope this doesnt sound stupid but do you wear pants under you one peice suit like jeans
No, leather one-piece racing suits are supposed to be your second skin, so they need to be tight, having jeans underneath would allow some movement and you could get roadrash from the movable material. I used to wear bicycle shorts and a t-shirt under mine, when I used to race.
A one-piece can actually be cooler than a two-piece, because most two-piece, the pants are cinched at the waist preventing cooler air-flow through the suit. Also, perforated leather is great!
so its supposed to be real tight what if your fat like me not very flattering

They're not supposed to be flattering, they're supposed to keep your fat on your ass and off the street!
Not that tight. It needs to be tight but not constricting or restricting any movement. I have a freind who looks good in his one-piece Helimot suit.

In the 1/2 dozen times that I've been down, I've never hurt my lower body. Always my upper torso. In Florida, most of the year it is just too hot to wear heavy leather. I always wear full faced helmet, Joe Rocket mesh jacket with armor/padding, gloves, jeans and $33 boots (Ozark Trail)from Wal-Mart and I try real hard not to test their abrasion resistance.
I wear my two piece leather suit when I go riding at weekends, whatever the weather.
I've crashed in them as well, I just got a cut on my finger and a bruise on my ankle from a 60+km/h face plant onto the road.
Highly recommended :thumb:
I'd have been in hospital for weeks without them.
