Anyone have any fixes for leaks around the left spark plug? Is it possible to drill out the small holes to put regular plugs in?

only thing i can think of his that the spark plug seating ring isnt there or is fitted wonky ...thus letting gas escape under pressure???????try some new plugs and make sure the little silver ring on plug is there and pushed up to plug right

Try tightening it first. If the threads are worn out you can helicoil it. Use a big gob of grease to catch/keep the metal shavings from going into the cylinder when tapping the hole.
I had this happen to me the other day... I noticed a 'bubbling' around the base of the spark plug. I rode back home pulled the plug, cleaned it up, and put in back in. I guess I didn't have it torqued enough :dunno: I always get worried when tighting down into aluminum. Anyway that seems to have fixed it.
The spark plug should have a crushable washer under it that seals gas-tight when the plug is torqued down - don't over tighten it or you will destroy the washer's sealing properties and maybe also strip the plug thread in the soft alloy head. Guidance is usually finger tight then no more than a quarter turn with a plug spanner. You shouldn't try to re-use them if you take the plug out. That said, I've never seen them for sale separate from the plugs, so if you do re-use, snug them down a bit more than when new, but don't over do it. Moral is - don't pull the plugs unless you need to, and then replace with new ones.
