My bike got damaged again!! First by a lady backing into it while I was at work about 2 months ago, and now pushed over by a bunch of kids while it was parked in front of my house! I can't believe it. It's like it's just not safe anywhere.
When I got home from work (in my dad's car) my neighbor came up to me and told me some kids were vandalizing cars and stuff all over my area and pushed my bike over. He ended up catching 3 of them and calling the police. I had to go down to the police station and file a report but the cop said that nothing is going to happen for me and I should just go through my insurance to get it fixed.
Luckily I haven't gotten it fixed yet from the first accident and everything that's damaged right now was going to be replaced by that lady's insurance anyway. I'm still really pissed off though... I don't know what to do when I get my R6 next year :dunno: I don't want this to happen to it too. I'm definantly going to get an alarm but the way things are going for me, by the time I get to my bike after hearing the alarm, I'm going to find it on its side with a cracked fairing and a broken off mirror.
How old were these kids? Id find out where they live and about a month or so from now go destroy something they have, hey they've got it coming. :guns: Just make sure you dont leave behind any evidence that you did it or worse things will likely happen to your bike.
Sorry about the bike, but if you're planning to buy an R6 you'll have to be extra careful, not parking in exposed places, where old and young ladies can hit it with their SUVs, and getting a better spot at home, away from kids and other rats...

If you go through insurance make sure you get a copy of the police report, get the names and addresses of the youths involved and a statement from the neighbor who witnessed the vandalism so the insurance will go after the people who did it. They will.

I appreciate the advise but luckily I'm pretty sure the insurance arrangements from the 1st incident will cover this one too. Thanks.
Get an alarm with a proximity sensor, the only way to have it be effective before they touch it.
Move to a place where people treat others with respect...

We like it nice and quiet without a lot of people...
get an alarm and a bike cover. out of sight, out of mind. people will be less likely to f%$k with it if it's covered.
maybe park it closer to the house
I'm with Jiggersplat, an old bike cover hides the value of the bike and may persuade these vandals that you don't have much, so they'll leave you alone.
There are days when I think that more punishments like the whipping handed out to the kid in Singapore who vandalised dozens of cars, would deter many other kids from going that route.
