Title: Is there a way to tell if a lube is for O-rings or not?
Post by: pprider on October 15, 2004, 06:19:47 AM
i bought lube at the ONLY place you can find it near my college and its was from a Harley Davidson shop. it didnt say anything about O-ring just that it was a general lube great for everything including chains. is there an ingredient that will tell me if i can use it or not?

if your chain is an o-ring chain..only use the type that is meant for o-rings..otherwise it can ruin the o -ring seals

It'll say on the bottle that it's for O-ring chains.  If it doesn't, don't use it.
