...and did the usual. Every minute sucked! No riding till spring - UGH! I'm gonna miss it :( One question though - should I take the tires off and keep them inside or just leave them on the bike with no weight on them? I have the bike on the center stand with the front supported so there's no weight on the front or rear.
I have always left mine on with no problem...you should be fine.

I was just wondering if it would be better for the tires since we get minus 40 degree weather :o during the winter.
Oh yeah, it was about 2 degrees yesterday and I still saw a couple of bikers on the road. Now that's hardcore. (Oops, by 2 degrees I mean celcius which is about 34 fahrenheit)
Balls of steel!
34 degrees, why that that's not even freezing. Anthing above 24 degrees is ok for me. Can do about 1 1/2 hours before my, you know what, start to freeze. If it's too cold for too long I'll go out even if it's below 20 degrees. I also have a V-Strom 650 this year so I should be able to ride this winter in luxury.
Eh, I dunno what y'all are complaining about. last year I did lots of rides at <20 degrees F, the longest being about 130 miles or so through a fogbank, 8 degrees outside.
I do have to admit that it was a little chilly, but not too bad. that was before I installed my heated grips, which help. when I got to my destination, I had about 1/8" thick coat of ice along the front of my bike, but the roads were dry, so traction wasn't a problem.

Good Lord, minus 40 :o Humans should not live there. Of course, some people faint at 100 degrees here in Az, but I still like it. Bring on summer. :thumb:
