Daniely's bike is the '01 dark blue with the Jardine exhaust and windshield on it. Mine is the '00 with stock exhaust and Buell turn signals.

Those are CFM Woodcraft rearsets, very comfortable indeed.
Nice fork brace. How did you make it?
Came with the bike, but its a custom CnC out of 1/2" aluminum. Nice stuff and very sturdy in the turns. I highly recommend goin in on sirnaths, they are REAL nice to have. mk1incali can vouche for it, we traded bikes on the streets, he said its a noticable difference.
hmm i dont know what to do this winter... new progressive springs, rear sets or handlebars!!! :dunno:

The CFM's are direct bolt ons. MK1incali's are CBR rearsets, they turned out really good, and take about 2 days of modification and mock up to turn out nice, ill let him explain that. But the CFM's on the 01' (my bike THANKS APLITZ!) are direct bolt ons.
PPrider, if you've got a whole Virginia winter to do projects with, I'd do all three!! The CBR rear-sets really only took me about 2 hours to do the basic mods to get them installed, but I also cleaned the casting flash off both sides, and cleaned up the parts I had to cut off to make them work so it stretched it out to 2-3 days after work/school's worth of working with the Dremel. The rearsets make a huge difference once you have lower handlebars on there, either pseudo-clip ons or straight drag bars like I have on my bike currently. Daniely has a set of CBR rear-sets he might be interested in selling if he decides to keep the CFM's. The Progressive spring swap, modding for the CBR rearsets AND the bar install could all be done in one day if you kept your wits about you and thought the whole process through, since you are going to be pulling your forks out, you are right there to pull your bars off also...etc etc. Daniely's bike has the stock springs in it, but I could tell in the faster corners I did take with his bike, it felt structurally more stable and direct than my Progressive spring'ed stock brace front end. I'm going to buy one of Srinath's braces once I have the cash for it (tuition/rent is due REAL soon!)

I see that neither bike has the stocker handlebars. how's the comfort factor on each of 'em? do they ride radically different?

I've got the flatter straighter drag bars on mine, and although I like them much better than the stock goober bars, I'm 6'5, and shorter people generally don't like being stretched that far out. The SM bars on Daniely's make the bike feel twitchier to my hands, more like a real sport bike, which I can't handle. I grew up on dirtbikes with extra tall, extra straight bars, so the drag bars make me feel more at home. I really should get a pair of SM/Srinath bars on my bike so I can get a direct comparison, since Daniely's bike has the brace and stock springs and Avon tires, whereas my bike has Progressives, 15wt oil, stock brace and stickier Michelin Pilot Sport treads.
Back to the comfort question, I think Daniely's bars would work better if you are shorter or like tucking in a lot, and drag bars would work better if you are tall/like straight and flat bars.
I'll have to steal his bike again for a longer freeway ride soon so I can post with a little more experienced voice. Oh yeah, I dumped my bike at about 15-20 mph and it bent the crap out of the drag bars, enough to lightly dent my tank. Srinath's supposedly won't do that, so that would be worth the extra cost right there if you crash/drop it.
the Srinath bars rock. i love mine.
and to anyone considering mods, for the love of god change your fork springs first. that's necessary whereas all the other stuff is fun frills.

Im not sure what the windscreen is (hoping Aplitz will chime in) ill find out though. at the moment though im more or less broke. I need to do my fork seals and progressives, but it may not get done until way into winter here.

Guy...certifiably true!!! I want his damn filter/pipe combo!!!!! Anybody want to chip in to buy me a beat up Vance and Hines so I can put a lunchbox filter on?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I hate sewing machines!!!!!

that's funny, because, when i heard your bike, i was so impressed by how good the stock exhaust sounds.
