Title: Moving to Charlotte, NC
Post by: chinox22x on October 27, 2004, 08:51:04 AM
I'm in the process of getting another job, although its the same company.  BoA.  Anyway, i'll be headed to charlotte, nc soon and will be my permanent place of living.

I don't know anyone in the area, I suppose its a new start.  I know the cost of living is pretty much the same as where i'm at right now, va. beach, va.

I have mixed emotions on starting over again.  I know it gives you pretty much a brand new life but is the life you're leaving behind something you want to throw away?

Aside from family, i've gotten rid of all my girls...they were all crazy anyway.   :dunno:

So anyone here from charlotte, nc?  I know shri is. hehe.  I'm bringing my 500f with me by the way,  you can experiment on it.  I'm planning on getting a CBR600 when i get to charlotte but keeping the gs still.

He he... I just got canned from B of A...
But come over... we'll do un speakable thing to the brand freaking new GS... and one word of caution... if you are buying a house ... Look at the HOA manual and read every line... they have some arcane laws that prevent bikes from parking or riding through the development... I did and got myself exempted, but there are a few others that haven't and are getting harassed...
Cool.

dang..sorry to hear bout the lay off.  Iknow the bank does it fairly frequently.  Sucks to be in that situation.

Thanks for the heads up on buying a house, but for now i'll probably get an appt. lease.  I have a house here in va. and i'm not ready to sell it yet in case things don't work out in charlotte.

but yeah, the gs is coming with me.
Title: BTW...

BTW NC 2 bikes will cost ya 2 X 1 bike for liability... also if you get a ticket, especially for somehitng like registration... or other paper work... do not re register the bike and show up... the fines are $25 and court fees are $100... re registering will drop the fine to 10, but court fees are still 100... now re registering means you pay personal property tax... which is bad. Further you fall into insurance trap. No multi vehicle discounts for bikes in NC. BTW which building you comming to. Free parking at gateway for bikes, I used to bus it to square when I was there... but the last year I was at gateway. Yea the banks own charlotte, wachovia, B of A, south Trust, etc.
Cool.
