An interesting situation came up today when I rode the GS with my wife 2-up, on an open rural road next to a small private airfield... all of a sudden I realized that there was this blue and white Cessna accelerating for takeoff, heading parallel to me... so I wondered would the GS or the Cessna accelerate better? Full throttle, and 3rd, 4th gear we go up to red line... little GS was with no doubt accelerating better than the Cessna (but, afterall, somehow, at some point, didn't get the front wheel up :dunno: , and didn't finally fly quite as high as the plane :nono:).
 to you all!
Good physics lesson there.
Both vehicles are accelerating around 15 pounds per horsepower
(Cessna 172 2200 lbs/150 hp)(GS 500 600lbs/40 hp)
Pushing on road is more efficient than pushing on air!
