Title: Removing the seat
Post by: iandunn on October 31, 2004, 03:06:50 PM
I'm trying to remove the seat to replace a burnt out tail light, but I can't get it off. The Clymer manual says to lift up on the end and slide it off, but when I pull the end up it doesn't move at all.

on the left side towards the back of the seat underneath there is a keyhole.  put ur key in there and turn it.  the seat pops right off

Crap I feel stupid, but I can't find the seat lock. I've been looking for the past 15 minutes.

Well, now I don't feel so stupid. I couldn't find the seat lock because there was no seat lock. But there is a wire rigged to pull the lever to unlock it, so the seat is off now :)
