which one is better?
in terms of sound, power, and ease of oil change...
starcycle still sell jardine!!!
well... i got vance and hines... in my opinion it looks lot better than jardin... and it sounds LOUD AS HELL.... low toned....
where can i see a pic of the jardine?
Some people have complained the Jardine was very very metallic after a few hundred miles...
Cool.
Srinath.
metallic?
aesthetically, v&h is too thin for my taste (needs a bigger diameter). is the jardine a full system also?
yes
any pictures of jardine?
i'm looking too...
Is one significantly more $$$ than the other?
same price...more or less...
found pics...doesn't look that great either...go search for jardine...i'm too lazy to link...
maybe i'll just go with slipons...
i think they are pretty much equal in price
Look at my picture page...The blue '01 has a Jardine full system on it. I've ridden with him many times, and aplitz (bike's previous owner) would have to chime in with how long ago he installed the exhaust, but it doesn't sound metallic to me. I think the stock exhaust sounds more metallic cuz you can hear more of the valvetrain noise...Jardine looks better in my opinion cuz the can is actually bigger than the pipe leading to it...compared to the V&H where it is almost the same size as the midpipe.
JARDINE!

OK I thought it was aplitz that said it was tinny or someone else on the left coast ... Might have been Derek - deckpi500GS or some like that handle.
Cool.
Srinath.
Naw man, I loved my Jardine. It sounded awesome was never tinny, performed well, and didn't require dropping the header to change the oil. I think it is an awesome system, and hope that more people are able to find them out there.
One of my new riding buddies saw me pull up to a restaurant one day before we'd even met. When we finally talked weeks later he said that he had looked up to see who was riding the pissed off Ducati. I took that as a positive comment on the system's sound. My only issue was the header starting to rust quick, but I fixed that quick with some hi temp paint and planned to Jet coat the header and midpipe over the winter.
It was AR5ENAL (i think that's how his name goes) that got a sort of metallic/tinny sound from his Jardine
Personally the Jardine looks a bit low to me but I still think it has an edge on the V&H in the appearance department.
Yea thanks 70_cam... sorry aplitz...
Cool.
