The picture doesn't work for me.
Are you sure the gas-smelling liquid is coming from the thick, capped hose and not the thinner one right next to it? The capped hose should be discharging oily liquid if anything, but not gas. The other hose could be dripping gas from an overfill at the gas cap. (See this photo (http://www.bbburma.net/MiscFotos/100_0761_FuelFillerNeck.jpg), which may not apply to CA models.)
If gas drops from the airbox vents you probably have a bad needle valve. This causes the carburetor to overflow and drain either into the airbox (more or less harmless) or, worse, into the motor. I have heard about people topping up their crankcase with gas. (That can only happen if you have the petcock set on PRI, though, but enough people ride like that all the time.)
try right clicking on the link and then on "show picture" this is what i have to do to get the link to work. also i'm sure that it's the capped hose on the right of the bike that is leaking, not the one next to it. it leaks even if the tank isn't full. :dunno:

Still doesn't work. Could it be because of the dialup connection I'm using at my hotel in Florida, as opposed to my usual Comcast hookup at home? :dunno:

In that case, listen to
