Just picked up a really decent digital caliper from harbor freight... looks identical to others I've seen online for $29.99+++...
cept it's $13.99.. good deal..
I think I paid 14.99 or maybe 15.99 for it ... dammit that hurts...
Cool.
Srinath.
got one off ebay, brand new only 12.00$ shipped
I got that beat. I bought some 12" Mitutoyo dial calipers for $10 off my crazy ex-neighbor who's a manual machinist :P
I do use them at work though as well as my 6" Mitutoyo digimatic caliper and Starret mic's ;)
The ones you guys bought should be cool for what you're doing though. Just remember don't drop them. :) I've never had the chance to use any of the bargain calipers, how well do they repeat?
If you guys decide you'd like to spend some more money on one of the bigger name brands, check out McMaster-Carr's website. They had great prices when I was comparing to MSC.
