Title: Busted Headlight?
Post by: chinox22x on November 26, 2004, 10:45:31 AM
Ok, this is weird...the headlight was working fine 3 weeks ago last time i rode. But now it only lights up when its on High Beam.

also, my right rear turn signal i took off and i don't recall if the headlight was working then...could that have something to do with it?  These lights don't happen to be on a parallel series are they?

The low beam filament is burned out on the head lamp bulb.

It don't think it is anything to do with the rear-end lighting. If the US light is the same as the European one, and i believe it is, there is one bulb (or lamp) with two filaments for Hi / Lo so either the Lo filament has "gone" or it's something in the switching. Obvious first then you may find this handy.

Haven't seen how the F headlamp is made but if it is like other Suzuki's faired bikes, easy to replace.

Should be a H4 bulb (not sure of the wattage but probably 60/55). Covered by a rubber boot. A retaining spring holds in the bulb. A 2 minute fix.
