to give some kind of comparison, it really looks like they just bolted it through the faring as it looks like the frame isn't anywhare near it.
did you install a real exhaust back on your bike?
you are bidding on 1 set of fairing protectors made for a 2004 gs500f suzuki complete with hardware
Oh No... someone I know is working on it ... he's going to be sad ... but anyway lets see what his looks like.
Cool.
Srinath.
Looks like the slider is bolted to a factory fairing mount. I doubt that the bracket could withstand much impact.
Yes. Those "fairing protectors" are bolted to the factory fairing mount. The guy selling them told me so. He said they will hold in a fall/minor crash. But, that tab isn't very strong that holds your fairing to your bike...just press on it to see.
As Srinath said...I am going to see about having custom one's made that use an elongated engine mount bolt to secure two aluminum frame sliders (custom machined) that will protrude through the fairing. Matisse protectors for the GS500E might work, but might just barely protrude through the fairing on the GS500F.
no I still have the cut pipes on mine, even with the ticket I got for it.
