Has anyone ever seen black levers, other than "carbon look?" All i can find for the GS are the polished aluminum stockers or fake carbon fiber.
:dunno:
Are the levers for the GS the same as for older Bandits? I saw both models listed in an Ebay auction for(you guessed it) black levers a while back but was reluctant to bid because I was unsure of their interchangability.
I see auctions for black levers for everything BUT the GS. You may be right about the bandit. I will try to research that.
OK I bought levers that are black, I also bought white levers, heck one s white other is black I think on the 95... The 89 has them all fading off to nothing...
Cool.
Srinath.
Here's that Ebay listing I was talking about...says here that GS levers swap with Bandit 600 levers: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10066&item=4506844737&rd=1
It's a current listing and this guy sells alot of levers so I tend to believe him. You think if they didn't swap he would have heard about it by now.
Yeah, anodizing will proly wear off, eh? I guess I'll just powdercoat em.
Emplying "thread conservation", replying to an ancient thread:
I bought a replacement clutch lever for my '92 from MrCycles, Suzuki part number the website gave was 57620-33410 ($7.46). The lever arrived this week, and it's black; it appears that is only for the "K" model GS500E. My levers are plain aluminum. MrCycles also sells a model 57620-01D00, for $9.26, for GS500E models L, M, N, P, R, S and T.
A search on both parts says:
$5.45 CLU LVR SUZ 57620-33410 B BM Available BikeMaster
$4.95 CLU LVR SUZ 57620-01D00 P BM Available BikeMaster GS500E 90-98
I'm guessing the "B" is for "black" and the "P" is for "polished". So... if you want a black lever, look for the "33410" version, or specify that you have a "GS500E model K".
