Title: what size is the nut in the battery?
Post by: GT Eye on December 01, 2004, 09:04:23 AM
I need to know the size of the nut that goes into the terminal of the battery because i lost mine. I tried to tape down the lead but it was useless =P.

Thanks
Title: 3/8

I thnk its 3/8th and ... you had that square nut right ... Those are hard to get, I just substitute a nut that matches the threads on the bolt and stuff Toilet paper all around the nut to keep it there and not spin.
Cool.

I got a 1/4" (from home depot) and it was too large for the terminal and the screw didn't thread into the nut all the way...

You could take the battery with you to the hardware store and find a combination of bolt and nut that fit.
